The ultimate match in this years Lanzarote league proved to be a fitting finale as PDC Cobras beat the Wolves in a high scoring contest.
Batting first the Cobras put a mammoth 286 for six on the board. The innings included two centuries, the first by Hawkins who opened and ended undefeated on 110 not out, and the second by Ruble Singh who notched up a score of 103. Herbert, Singh and Collins all took two wickets for the Wolves.
In response, the Wolves ended their innings on 206 all out which was a good effort but still a way from the Cobras total. Matty Evans completed the third century of the match whilst Ruble Singh and Martin Powell tok three wickets apiece for the Cobras.
St George had already been crowned champions before the game and will represent the Lanzarote Cricket Association in the National Finals. The teams now look forward the the T-20 competition that will start in September.
