The Spanish select XI made it four wins from four and a clean sweep in the Group stage with a convincing victory of the Norwegian based club, Klemetsued.

Spain, as is their way, won the toss and elected to bat first and the two openers Armaghan Khan and Tariq Ali soon were playing with their usual aggressive style. However, for the first time in the tournament they did not give the hosts a major opening partnership, as first Ali and then Khan fell in quick succession.

Yasir, playing at number three was the bedrock of the innings scoring an unbeaten 50 off the very last ball of the Spanish innings, but it was Nisar Ahmed who made the most telling contribution with a swashbuckling 62 in double quick time.

The hosts finally ended with a total of 193 for 3 and looked to be sitting pretty at the half way stage of the game.

Klemetsued made a fight of the game with a gutsy reply that included a fine 53 not out by T. Hussain. The team from Norway were evetually bowled out for 134 with Faran Afzal continuing his good form from the Belgium game by adding another three wickets to his personally tally.

Spain’s opponents in the final have yet to be confirmed as three teams from Group B are still in the frame as the Tournament enters the final day.

The final will be played at La Manga Club resort at 2.30 pm and all spectators are welcome. Free Admission and their is a marquee available at the ground with drinks and baguettes.
