La Manga had a crushing home victory last weekend against newcomers Cazadores de Turre.
Batting first La Manga secured a full quota of batting points as they ended up with a total of 362 for 3 off their allocated overs. Highlights for the home side included a magical 177 not out from former Spanish Junior International Michael Garside and a great supporting roleof 81 not out from current Spanish Under 19 international Ravi Panchal.
The unbeaten partnership by the two teenagers totalled 283 and is a record fourth wiket partnership for the La Manga second strings.
In reply Cazadores showed lots of spirit but were skittled out for a meagre 69 runs as La Manga fully dominated the game from start to finish.Former Orihuela player Mark Copperwheat can be proud of a fine bowling performance that netted him four wickets for just seven runs.
The home side bgged maximum points from the contest whilst Cazadores added just 2 points to their current total to leave them well adrift at the bottom of the development league table
