CATALUYNA LEAGUE ROUND UP

All four divisions in this years Cataluyna league are now up and running and the frontrunners in each division are begining to show face.

In Division One A all teams have played at least one game. At this early stage Cataluyna Gymkhana are the only team with an 100% record having played and won one game. They share the top of the table spot with Barcelona CC but they have played a game more. Barcelona Eagles CC and Cataluyna CC share mid table whilst Coalesce CC still have to put league points against their name.

In Division One B Babara de Valles have yet to start their league campaign but City Lions and Girona Warriors have both made winning starts and are top of group B at the moment. Languishing at the bottom with no points from their first match are Cornella CC and Minhaj CC.

Division Two A is the one league with just four teams this season. Cataluyna Tigers stand alone at the top of the table. Controversy surrounded the game between 22 Yards and Jove. One player registered with 22 Yards played for Jove CC and after losing the match 22 Yards lodged a complaint. As both captains knew this and either failed to inform the umpire the Catalan Cricket Association directorate decided to gave 5 points to each team. In fourth spot in Division Two Group A is the winless Poble Sec.

Division Two B has seen the most league action to date with most clubs having played at least two games each. Cornella and Santa Coloma are top with 15 points each, both having played two games, Gracia have a 100% record having played one and won one, whilst Internationals and Badalona have yet to break their points duck, with Internationals slightly in a better place having played a game less.
