The Cataluyna league is up and running and the first game of the new season pitted City Lions against Cataluyna Gimkhana.
Lions batted first and scored 133 with Adnan Ali scoring 53. In reply Gimkhana scored 134 for 5 with openers Shoaib and Shafeeq scoring 52 and 35 respectively.
Both teams are new names to this years league which promises to be the most exciting and competitive yet. The 5 wicket victory to Gimkhana sees them sitting pretty at the top of the league after the first game of the season.
