There was another nailbiting finish in the latest Cataluyna Junior game as the league threw up another nailbiting contest.
In this instance, it was the Girona Warriors who edged out Badalona Shaheen by just five runs. Batting first the Warriors were all out for 127 with just two balls of their over allocation left.
Most of the Warriors got starts for their team but none of the batsmen went on to make major contributions. Mustafa had a good spell with the ball for Shaheen taking three wickets for just eight runs.
Badalona were always in contention but run out of overs as the fell shy by just three runs. Bilawal (30) and Dilawar (23) made telling contributions but received little support from elsewhere. Warriors showed they had strength in depth as all six bowlers for them took wickets which proved vital in completing the Warriors victory and securing the third place in the league.
