Today the first game of this year’s Cataluyna Junior League took place and it was the newcomers Santa Perpetua that took first blood at the hands of Pak I Care.
Batting first Pak I Care made 101 for 9. Spanish Junior Internationals Nadim Hussain and Shehryar Riaz were amongst the wickets for Prepetuaua whilst extras was the top score for the batting side.
Perpetua had little trouble in chasing down the small total and did so with eight wickets in hand. Opener Hamza Butt top scored with an unbeaten half century as Santa got past the winning line in the 14th over.
The other six teams in this years Junior League are Al Qaim, Badalona, Badalona Shaheen, Friends, Girona Warriors and Cornella.
