The Cataluyna Junior League got under way last weekend with six teams signed up for this season’s contest.
The Under Twenty – One League will take place at Montjuic Stadium in Barcelona and the participating teams are Badalona Shaheen CC, Bengali CC, Cataluyna, Girona Warriors, Ravel Sporting , and Sant Andreu CC.
In the first game, Cataluyna and San Andreu were paired together and it was Cataluyna who came out on top to the tune of 30 runs.
Sant andreu won the toss and put their oponents in and Cataluyna posted a score of 134 runs from their Twenty Overs. In reply, Sant Andreu only managed to post a total of 104.
Both teams played the game in excellent spirit and it was a grest example of the youth cricket that is being played in the Cataluyna region.
