Match Seven in this years Cataluyna League saw Coalesce register an eight wicket victory over Barcelona Eagles.
Eagles battled first and posted a score of just 116. Several of their batsmen got promising starts but none of them managed to turn them into a substantial contribution for their teams cause. Imran top scored with thirty off 58 balls but got out at a crucial time to Anique. However, the pick off the bowlers was Shazad who claimed four wickets for just 29 runs.
In reply, openers Malik Anique and Tausef Ahmed had little trouble in putting a major dent in the required total and at one stage looked like passing the 116 runs needed on their own. However, both fell in quick concession to cause a minor wobble for Coalesce.
It was left for Orner and Shazad to steer their side home in the 21st over with eight wickets still intact. The next league match at the Montjuic Stadium will be contested between Minhaj and Cataluyna Tigers.
Coalesce 118 for 2 beat Barcelona Eagles 116 all out by 8 wickets.
