CATALONIA CRICKET CLUB QUALIFIES FOR SEMIFINALS WITH A CONVINCING WIN

Catalonia Cricket Club, the team lead by Robert Masih Nahar, qualifies for the semifinal of the Catalan League of Cricket 2013 after defeating Barcelona Cricket Club led by Khalid Shabaz Chauhan.
Catalunya cricket club won the toss and chose to bat first. Brilliant bating by Catalunya CC players set a huge total of 191/6 in total 25 overs. Asif Zia was excellent and scored 80 runs, Nisar Ahmed 25, Armghan Khan 29 and Atique contributing with 40 runs.
In response Barcelona Cricket club’s batting collapsed in front of Catalunya CC Bowlers. Fazal was excellent with the ball taking five wickets. The bowling side proved too strong for Barcelona cricket club, as all the team scored only 71 runs in 13 overs.
A big win for Catalunya CC to qualify for the semis and this leave Barcelona Cricket Club out of the tournament. Catalunya Cricket Club is defending the title of Catalan Cricket League, as they are three times champions of the Catalan league and twice they have been crowned the champions of Spanish national league.
