BRAVE SFL GO DOWN FIGHTING
A spirited performance by San Fulgencio was not enough to prevent defeat against an in form La Manga 2 team
Batting first La Manga scored 194 for 4 with the highlight being a fantastic 101 not out by Ruble Singh. He was ably supported by Ravi Panchal (31 not out) as they put on 124 for the 5th wicket.
In reply, SFL scored 152 all out against the youthful La Manga bowling attack. 9 of the wickets fell to products of the La Manga Junior academy, a strong reflection on the work done by the Junior Director of Cricket and La Manga first team player, Neil Brook.
Jack Webster, arguably Fulgencio´s player of the season top scored with 52, whilst the Panchal brothers got 3 wickets each for the home side. La Manga took 18 points from the game whilst SFL settled for 4 points.
