Badalona Shaheen went top by themselves of the Cataluyna Junior League with a demolision job of winless Cataluyna Juniors.
Batting first, Shaheen posted the strong total of 170 for 7 from their 20 overs. Hamza top scored for 57 and all top five batsmen for Shaheen made sizeable contributions. Asim took three wickets for Cataluyna at a cost of 41 runs from his four overs.
Cataluyna never looked like reaching their target and they were finally bundled out for just 46 runs. Adeel took two wickets for just a single run, but in truth all of seven bowlers used by Shaheen bowled with purpose and looked capable of taking wickets.
The 124 run victory means they inch clear of Friends and Sant Andreu as the league season starts to come to an exciting finish, with three out of the four teams still hopeful of being crowned league champions.
