Match three in the Cataluyna Junior League paired up Badalona Shaheen and Bengali in the six team competition.
Bengali won the toss and batted first but found runs very hard to come by as a result of some excellent Shaheen bowling. Only three players managed double figures as Bengali posted a sub-par score of 75 all out. For Shaheen five of their six bowlers took a wicket or more with Mustafa having the best figures of two for nine (which also included a maiden).
In reply Shaheen stuttered a little at the end, but always looked relatively comfortable in chasing down the total. Mustafa with 27 off 18 balls capped a fine all round performance and in Hamza (25 runs) he found an able partner to help his team to win the game.
Both were out near the end of the match and a couple of more wickets fell cheaply to create a more nervy end than expected, but eventually Shaheen ran out winners by five wickets with numerous overs to spare.
Badalona Shaheen 76 for 5 beat Bengali 75 all out by 5 wickets.
