Sporting Alfas Junior Academy remain unbeaten after the second round of the Indoor Junior league played in Murcia this afternoon.
Interest after the first round was sufficent to see another team join the league, as La Manga Kings put out a second team. As a result there were six games scheduled to be played today and it was agreed that the La Manga Kings B side would start on the same amount of points as the last placed team after the first round of matches.
First up Torrevieja played the new club. Torrevieja batted first and scored 94 for 3, with La Manga Kings B notching up 45 for 6 to give Torry a comfortable victory.
Alfas then comfortably disposed of the Kings A and B side in consecutive matches before Torrevieja entered the stage again and made it two wins from two on the day by securing a nine run victory over La Manga Kings A.
The top two sides Alfas and Torry played next and it was the Alicante outfit who remained unbeaten, thanks to a comprehensive batting performance.
The final match of the day was to be the much anticipated La Manga Kings derby. Unfortunately due to time restraints the match was cancelled with both teams receiving five points each.
