The Sporting Alfas first team took their first ever trip to play Levante CC in Valencia and came away six wicket victors.
The friendly game gave Levante a chance to try out some new players whilst Alfas had a mixture of experience and youth to call upon.
Levante batted first and notched up a total of 180 for 9 in their allocated 30 overs. Good contributions from Rhys Morgan (47) and Graham Hunt (46) were the mainstream of the innings, whilst former international Mohib Husseini bagged four wickets for the visitors.
In reply, Alfas paced their innings well and had reached their target by the 18 over mark. Former La Manga batsman Joel Brook took a liking to the Levante bowling and scored 69 whilst Jamie Roper continued to show improvement with the bat and made a mature 81 not out to see his team home.
Both teams are in action in the league later this month, Levante have a double header against Madrid whilst Alfas also have a league double header against Madrid United on May 24th-25th.
