ALCORCON WIN BATTLE OF THE PROMOTED CLUBS
Alcorcon easily beat Madrid United to win the battle of last season´s promoted teams in the latest ECCL1 league contest
Alcorcon batted first and scored at ease against the Madrid Unitedall bowling attack. They finally ended their allocated overs on 361 for 7 with most of the major batsmen making major contributions.
In reply Madrid United were all out for 231 despite an excellent century by Hafez. Naresh was the pick of the Alcorcon bowlers taking 4 for 28 from his 6 overs.
Alcorcon picked up 20 points from the game to remain in title contention whilst Madrid United picked up 7 points in a much improved performance.
