Last Sunday Alcorcon and Madrid opened their league account and it was Alcorcon who came out victors to the tune of 105 runs.
Madrid won the toss and put the opposition into bat. Alcorcon got off to a quick start with Tariq Ali making a quick fire 71. Usman Zahid and Mazhar Abbas also made 35 and 32 respectively as Alcorcon finally posted a score of 246 all out. Ollie Wrightson was the pick of the Madrid bowlers taking three wickets.
In reply, Madrid got off to a disastrous start losing a wicket to the first ball of the innings and by the end of the first over they had lost another wicket.
Madrid never recovered from the poor start and were finaly all out for 141. Muhammad Akmal took 3 wickets and Mazhar Abbas, Toukeer and Usama Zahid also took 2 wickets each.Alcorcon took 19 points from the game whilst Madrid took away 7 points from the game.
Alcorcon Cricket Club (19 points) beat Madrid CC (7 points) by 105 runs.
