ALCORCON CONTINUE PUSH FOR SECOND PLACE
Alcorcon kept up the pressure for second place on La Manga with a strong showing against bottom of the table Madrid
Batting first Alcorcon posted a total of 236 all out with Kumar and Wasi top scoring with 45 and 43 respectively. Madrid captain and Spanish all rounder Irshard Khan took 3 wickets for the home side
In reply Madrid were all out fore 154 with Salima and Daniel both scoring 25 for Madrid. The 82 run victory for Alcorcon makes them favourites for second place in ECCL 1. La Manga can still nick second spot but will have to rely on Alcorcon faltering in their final match (also against Madid) to take that honour.
