Alcorcon got off to a winning start in ECCL1 with victory over the other team promoted from the development league last year Madrid United.

Madrid United won the toss and elected to bat. They made 219 all out of 42 overs with Kashif top scoring with 45. Several other players made contributions but no one went on to make a telling score, that ultimately proved to be the difference between the two sides.

For Alcorcon, Tariq Ali continued his fantastic form from last season and hit a match winning 129 not out. He was well supported by Abdul Razzaq (32) and Qaisar Ali (31 not out) as they ran out easy winners in the end by 8 wickets.

Alcorcon received maximm points from the game to go top of the league whilst Madrid United claimed a total of 4 point from the game
