A DAY TO FORGET FOR LA MANGA

The top of the table clash between La Manga and Valencia Green proved a one sided affair as the Valencia side totally demolished the Murcia based club.

The day started badly for La Manga, who only had 10 players on the day due to players having international commitments in the Isle Of Man. Winning the toss they decided to bat but they had no answer to the bowling of Attiq, who whistled through the La Manga batting at will, and ended up with match figures of 6-28 of 8.5 overs. Tanveer Iqbal was the only La Manga player to reach double figures as his side crashed to 65 all out.

In reply, Green made short work of the weak La Manga total for the loss of only two wickets. To comfound La Manga´s misery they ended the day with minus 1 point, whilst Green took 19 points from the game.
