Eighteen candidates from four different regions in Spain spent the weekend completing the first phase of an accredited Level Two Coaching Course.
ICC Europe have partnered with Yorkshire Cricket Board to offer the opportunity to access ECB Coach education courses and the 18 applicants were invited to take part in the course at the begining of this year.
Candidates from Madrid, the ECCL Region, the South, and Cataluyna spent the weekend on an on-line webinar and later in the year will have a practical assessment over a weekend in either Barcelona or Malaga.
The initial feedback on the course has been very positive and Cricket España thank the tutors from Yorkshire Cricket CE for the time and effort over the three day period.
Cricket Espana are also currently involved with an on line Umpires Level One Education Course that is also being run by Yorkshire Cricket CE, and already several of the candidates have completed the course and have received a certificate of attendance. CE hope to hold a Level Two course in the near future for some of the successful candidates on the course.
