MADRID TROUNCE VALENCIA

8th October 2010

 MADRID TROUNCE VALENCIA

In one of the lowest scoring games of the season Madrid trounced Valencia by 10 wickets to notch up another league victory.

Batting first Valencia posted  a meagre 62 with Khan of Madrid continuing his impressive form with a 5 wicket haul. Adam Langhans chipped in at the other end with 3 timely wickets. A special mention should be given to the excellent 2cd slip catch Jon Woodward took whilst fielding at 1st slip.

In reply the openers Charlie Marrow and Adam Langhans knocked off the 63 required without loss to give Madrid a comprehensive victory.

Unfortunately both teams were light on players, Madrid fielding 10 were deducted 2 points, whilst Valencia only had 9 players and lost 4 points. Final points score Madrid 18 points and Valencia -4 points.
