MADRID UNITED MAKE LIGHT WORK OF SFL

Madrid United kept up the pressure on Alcorcon at the top of the CB Development league by easily disposing of San Fulgencio in the latest league fixture at La Manga.

SFL won the toss and decided to bat first against the ten man Madrid side. Unfortunately, the SFL batting collasped and thay were bowled out for a paultry 79 in 29.1 overs. Hamayon was the Madrid bowler who caused the most damage, grabbing 4 wickets for just 17 runs in his 7 over spell.

In reply, United made slight work of the SFL total, surpassing their score in the 9th over for the loss of just one wicket. Hafaaz Niazi was the Madrid batsman to set the visitors on their way to victory with a sparkling 62 not out after Rizwan had fell early without personally troubling the scorers and with only one run on the board.

Unfortunately, Madrid were deducted 2 points for only having 10 players, they remain in second place in the CB Development league, behind Alcorcon, who they still have to play at  La Manga later in the season.
