ORIHUELA RECORD FIRST LEAGUE VICTORY

Orihuela beat off a challenge from the La Manga second team to record their first ever league victory.

Batting first Orihuela scored 196 for 7 of their allocated overs. D Haynes with a fine 84 and a fine half century by Alex Brooker were the mainstay of the Orihuela innings. P Davies had a controlled spell of bowling for the La Manga team, taking 2-18 from 8 economical overs.

La Manga were bowled out for 109 with only Ruble Singh making a significant contribution. Mark Copperwheat was the pick of the Orihuela bowlers, bagging 3-29 off 4 overs.

Orihuela earned 18 points from the game whilst La Manga secured a total of 4 points.
