The Madrid T-Twenty League kicked off last weekend and it was Madrid Stars who won the brace of matches against their local rivals Madrid CC.

In the first game at Sonseca Madrid Stars batted first and amassed a total of 192 for 3 from their 20 over allocation. Top scorer for the Stars was Qadar Khan with a well crafted 56.

In reply, Madrid fell short by 56 runs, finally finishing tyheir innings on 136 for 7. There were notable contributions from Adam Langhans (48) and K Lala (46) but the Stars effort proved too difficult to chase down.

In the second game of the day the Madrid batting crumbled and were all out for just 105. Azam took three for eight in a great spell of bowling for his team. In reply the Stars surpassed the Madrid total with ease and for just the loss of one wicket. In the process S Mehmood completed a fine half century.

The other team in the three team league are Madrid United and they are yet to start their T-Twenty campaign.
