After a disappointing defeat at La Manga in their last game Sporting Alfas recorded a comfortable victory over Madrid CC to stay on course for the ECCL Premier Division title. 

Madrid batted first and scored 182 for 8 from their 45 overs. Top scorer for the visitors was Healey who managed 57 of the visitors total.

Sporting Alfas paced their innings well and welcomed back former Spanish international Faran Afzal after a cricketing hiatus due to work commitments. He showed he had lost none of his ability has he made 79 not out to steer his club to a comfortable four wicket victory.

Alfas accrued 19 points from the tie whilst Madrid picked up a further six points to their league total. Both sides clash tomorrow in what will be Madrid's home league game.
